Just a quick intro...I found this site through traditionalwitchcraft.net

I am a beginning learner in the Irish language, just a month so far. I am 50 so not as quick a learner as I used to be.

I have Irish ancestors on both sides; the only ones I have done some research on came from County Cork (Murphy). There are others I am researching.

My leanings are not reconstructionist but mostly folk Catholicism and druidry/draiocht, and especially storytelling (I really enjoy Eddie Lenihan) and I do not have antipathy with the old gods and such because I am also part Native American and have long experiences with the spirits in nature.

I am trying to understand better the types of practices I read in the dictionary under witchcraft: draiocht, asarlaiocht, an ealain, and dhubh. I also have interest in the various Beings in the stories, as I like to see how they are like and unlike the ones I encountered here in the mountains of Montana.

Slan!
